Senior Keane Johnson hails from Los Altos California where he lives with parents Annie and Jim. He also has a younger brother Audun, who attends Northwestern University. Keane attended Los Altos High School and had tremendous success as a baseball player. As a senior in high school, Keane earned the Bob Baird scholarship for leadership, a foreshadowing to his past role as Treasurer and current role as President Captain. In addition to the leadership award, Keane was selected to the De Anza Division All-League Team and MVP of the Varsity, attending showcases hosted by Northwestern and UCLA among others. Following his experiences as a baseball player, Keane earned a spot in the first novice boat defeating URI, Umass, and WPI en route to a third place finish at the New England Championships. His leadership and hard work earned him the novice MVP award. Keane continued to impress as a sophomore, earning a spot in the first Varsity boat and making the Grand Final at Knecht Cup in a four. Keane was instrumental to the success of the 1V his Junior year, earning Grand Final appearances at NERC and ACRA, Fourth place at the San Diego Crew Classic, and winning the petite final at ECACs. Keane is an Economics Major in the College of Arts and Sciences.
