Tom McShane is a Junior from Crestwood, New York. His family includes parents Mary and Thomas and sister Elizabeth. Tom attended Fordham Preparatory School in the Bronx where he played soccer and ran track. His Varsity Soccer team were runners up in New York City for consecutive years. In track he broke five minutes in the mile as a sophomore and ran 2:04 in the 800m his senior year as a member of 4x800 "A". In addition to running, Tom scored in the pole vault, jumping 13'. Tom was the winner of Alphonsus Rodriguez award for displaying leadership and morality in academics and athletics his senior year. He joined the novice team in the fall of 2011 and sat two seat in the Second Novice Eight which won the Knecht cup. His 2N4 also won the Umass/RPI race. As a member of the varsity, Tom raced in the Second Varsity Four at the Tail of the Charles and the Second Varsity Eight defeated URI and Bates. Tom is a political science major.
